Vegan, Low Carb, Gluten Free?

Nowadays, there are many different eating lifestyles around the world. As we continue to evolve, more research is published about how various diets affect your body and how they come into play, whether it's a special diet to lose weight or one to avoid an allergic reaction. We use the term “diet” lightly because some diets are triggered by personal choices to eat a certain way. There are many different lifestyles, such as Paleo, Vegan, Low-Carb, Vegetarian, Gluten-Free, etc.. Here at Beyond Juicery + Eatery, we are proud to have the ability to support everyone's dietary needs! We believe that everyone has a different version of the term "healthy”. We are proud to say that no matter how you interpret the word “healthy”, we have something to support you and your choices. 

The top 3 dietary inquiries we receive are tied to Vegan, Low-Carb, or Gluten-Free lifestyles. Well, look no further! We have put together some dietary recommendations for those specific diets all in one place. We hope this will minimize the confusion of, “Well, I’m (Insert Diet Here), what can I eat at Beyond Juicery + Eatery?”. Keep reading, and try some of our excellent recommendations!

To start, eating a Vegan lifestyle means that you do not consume any products derived from animals. Some of our favorite Vegan options at BJE include the following:

  • The Dimmer Smoothie (Banana, Mango, Pineapple, Spinach, & Kale)
  • Spicy Griego Wrap on a Spinach Wrap, minus Feta
  • Bop Bowl with Carrot Ginger Dressing
  • Beyond Baked Goods (Peanut Butter Protein Bites, Beyond Date Bites, Beyond Cookie Bites). These are great for the sweet tooth as well!
  • Raw Juices – our favorite is the Citrus Circuit!

If those recommendations don’t sound like your cup of tea, there are still many options for you! We recommend that a Vegan customer remove honey from our smoothies to make it Vegan, and remove the cheese from any salad and replace it with avocado instead!

Consuming a Low-Carb diet does not have an official definition, however, most people consume under 100 to 150 grams of carbs per day. The Low-Carb friendly options we recommend from BJE include:

  • Pookie’s Power Boost Smoothie (Banana, Blueberries, Coconut H2O, Vanilla Whey, Spinach, & Kale) 51 grams
  • Avocado Turkey on a Low Carb Tortilla 42 grams
  • Strawberry Almond Bowl 36 grams (with dressing!)

You can easily reduce the carbs in any of our wraps by upgrading to the Low-Carb tortilla, which is a customer favorite! 

Finally, eating a Gluten-Free diet excludes any food item containing gluten from your diet. Becoming Gluten-Free could be due to Celiac Disease, being Gluten Sensitive,or simply by choice. As the production of Wheat has changed over the years, so have our stomachs! This type of diet has become more and more common. Thankfully Beyond Juicery + Eatery has you covered with many Gluten-Free items:

  • All of our Smoothies, Salads, and Raw Juices on the menu are Gluten-Free! 
  • You can order any of our wraps on a Gluten-Free Tortilla, which is another customer favorite.
